Lorsque Harry, le père de Dillon, revient à toute allure dans leur petit appartement pour sauver son enfant, l'appartement est en ruines et il n'y a aucun signe de son fils. Trois ans plus tard, à des milliers de kilomètres de là, à Dublin, Harry aperçoit un garçon de six ans dans la foule et est convaincu qu'il s'agit de Dillon. Désireux de retrouver son fils, l'obsession de Harry déchire son mariage avec Robin, révélant des secrets honteux qui mènent à la vérité sur ce qui est arrivé à leur fils la nuit où il a disparu.

Simon Callow is a good actor, but his cod Franglais in this is so awful it's distracting.
It builds a mystery plot around the loss of a child and the grieving process of a couple, which quickly offers a plot twist to introduce a suspense story about truth and lies. It benefits from the colours of Morocco in an almost dreamlike staging, and from the construction of characters that have a certain ambiguity and whom the viewer never knows whether to fully believe. But it ends up wasting some interesting nuances about how to deal with death, ending with an unconvincing and very far-fetched ending.
