In my opinion this show is not that bad but not that mind-blowing either, the plot itself was interesting to say the least but not really captivating overall it think this show is pretty decent,
This is an adaption of the Thai novel, KATSATHITTHSN, by Ace. The basic premise is that souls will follow each other, through reincarnations, until they are reunited and a past curse is lifted. The time switching of the story was a nice idea done a bit awkwardly because the historical story lacked cohesiveness. It takes a couple of episodes to figure out who the characters are and where the plot is going but once the story and romance falls into place, the contemporary drama holds. Sprite (Earl) and Piano (Prey) give a solid performance but the acting from the support cast isn’t consistently good and sometimes it’s downright awful. Prey, adorable as she is, reads as very young and her fascination with Earl feels more a naive crush than that of a mature lover. So I shouldn’t have been surprised that the kisses were the worst in GL series. However, some of the advice to the (perpetually) lovelorn child is deeply profound. Once again, Thailand musicians borrowed unusual American songs as part of their soundtrack - this time CAMPTOWN RACES and TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR. For those familiar with the lyrics it makes the scenes unintentionally comical as the words are way out of context. (It just occurred to me that they may have been chosen because they are in the public domain, don’t incur royalties and the lyric’s may may not be top of mind to an Asian audience.) One last production critique. Why couldn’t the Wardrobe department adequately clothe a Prince of Thailand? Enough said. I give this series a 6 (okay) out of 10.
