Nothing new, the usual introduction to the new hero. What's unique is he needed to hide his ever growing power. The uniqueness of Teogonia is the main hero half hearted in reaction, but serious in learning to advance his skills, and he gets Arbitration God power. If you don't mind a light and relax fantasy adventure, this is an anime series you will enjoy. If you want Solo Leveling more action but thinner story, skip it. I think Teogonia has the foundation to be a long and loved series.
interesting anime. one bad thing is that the MC keeps narrating what is happening, kind of annoying
Fell a bit short for me. Had likable characters, nice character design, and an interesting premise if not just a twist on a very common story line. Unfortunately the storytelling was just awful. If felt sporadic, disjointed, and could never find a rhythm. Character development was also very poor which just made the entire series feel like empty calories. It's obvious that there is a ton of backstory that wasn't fleshed out yet, but this was a poor attempt start it off on the right foot. Maybe season 2 will bring everything together better, but they really need a new writer/director to help capitalize on all the strong points it has going for it. I'd give another season a chance, but if it was more of the same it would be a drop.
So I messed up on this one. I thought there were only 11 episodes in the season (because that's what both of my TV trackers said), so I had to wait a week for the last episode, and I ended up watching two full shows in between episodes 11 and 12....and another full show before writing this review. This show definitely felt unique....in a sea of copy/paste anime. The artwork, the setting, the lore, the magic system, all of it was wholly unique and created from scratch. Pretty much every aspect of this anime is above average. The I only gripe I have is that it occasionally felt a bit juvenile. The plot also seemed to speed up to the point of nearly rushing towards the end. I'd definitely like to see more though, so sign me up.
