> He Came for Revenge, Stayed for Romance When Destiny Brings the Demon surprised me in all the best ways. At first, I wasn’t fully invested — the first 2–3 episodes felt like standard setup with a lot of exposition. But once the romance kicked in? I was hooked. It’s rare for a cultivation/xianxia drama to go this hard on the PDA; somebody counted there were
43
kisses. The chemistry between the leads is strong, and the moments of physical affection were honestly refreshing — made me giggle more than I’d like to admit. What really stood out for me was the Immortal Saga. The male lead was finally in full control — powerful, cold, focused on revenge — and it was so satisfying to watch. He wasn't just some lovesick amnesiac; he was dangerous and driven. In contrast, the Demon/Human arc felt weaker. The amnesia trope dragged things down a bit, and I missed the sharpness and tension of the Immortal arc. Still, the drama overall delivers a fun, emotional ride. If you’re into xianxia but want something a little more romantic (without sacrificing badass moments), this one's worth the watch. Just power through the slow start — the payoff is totally worth it.

Vou assistir, espero não me arrepender. Espero que no final ela não volte pro mundo dela ou um dos dois morram.

After the first few episodes, things really started to pick up and I was really enjoying the immortal saga of the show. Once the story moved into the demon realm, and the misunderstanding trope came in, I started to lose interest in the story. The immortal saga felt more complete and whole as a story. Overall enjoyable show, but I enjoyed the start more than the end.
