The chests on all the female characters man LOL
Starts off strong and just keeps getting better, Tougen Anki is a fast paced action anime with some comedy thrown in the mix. Loving the animation of the show with all these fight scenes, gets really intense and you get hooked. Watch it, you will enjoy it.
Typical shounen that comes with all the expected clichés, except the MC is refreshingly normal. He’s not a twisted antisocial, not depressed, and not "hopelessly stupid". Just a regular, likeable teenager for once. Some CGI use is highly questionable, but mostly negligible. The story does feel a little bit fast-paced, but that actually helps cut through the usual shounen fluff and tries to deliver more action so I like it so far.
Can't wait for series 2!
I like this one, one of the best of this new season of anime to release. Definitely heavily influenced by Jujutsu Kaisen and a couple other modern anime, but this did enough to stand out on its own and feel somewhat unique. The MC varies from obnoxious to extremely likable, like a lot of old school shonen MC's. The artwork and animation are both a bit above average as well. The pacing could have been better at some points, but it's not enough to really knock it off a point....but the slow moments certainly held it back from entering into the elite tier. My biggest gripe would probably be that while I enjoyed the very final arc of this, it felt a bit too rushed and would have been better if they introduced certain people earlier in the story. Definitely down for more though, and looking forward to it.
