As a soap opera about the clash of two women over the leisure business in Marbella in the eighties, it is so crazy that it is even entertaining. But it weakens as it moves away from the soap opera and into the territory of the cheesy thriller, in that mix of genres that creator Daniel Écija likes so much. And that is when it ends up becoming much less funny and more stale. It also doesn't help that almost none of the actors are up to the level of Belén Rueda, who seems to be the only one who is really enjoying a Machiavellian character.
