The original series from the 80s is awesome and a full 10/10 for me. Attempts of modernization in the past with movies and new tv shows have always failed completely. This series seems to me to be the first that manages to at least come close to the original. The fact that Pumuckl's voice was adjusted by AI so that he sounds like he did back then was mostly a total success. The character of the "new" Meister Eder is also well written (even if the original Master Eder is of course 1000 times better). It's also amazing how they managed to make everything look like it did back then. Top! They even kept the original look of Pumuckl and did not try to „modernize“ it, like people tried (and failed) in the past. I hope we get more episodes of this because so much effort from the creators should be rewarded. The creators of this show are truly fans of the original. The bavarian accent is a bit too much for me. Is it just me or isn't that the case of the original show?!? While the original can’t be topped, this show comes as close as possible.
