Zong Yi, un jeune homme qui aspire à devenir médecin, est obligé d'emmener le gangster blessé, Ze Rui, dans sa propre maison et de prendre soin de ce dernier. Au fil du temps, les deux hommes se familiarisent et tombent amoureux l'un de l'autre. Cependant, à cause d'une bagarre de gangsters, Zong Yi prend la responsabilité de Ze Rui et se retrouve en prison. Les deux sont tellement déchirés que leurs amis, Eddie et Chen Yi, se séparent également. Quatre ans plus tard, le destin les réunit à nouveau tous les quatre. Ils doivent faire face aux erreurs du passé et aux regrets pour retrouver leur bonheur.

I’ve already looped this series three times, and I’m still not over it. The way Zong Yi gets dragged from his quiet life into a dangerous gang world is so gripping. The romance feels warm and real because of the constant grit and pressure of their reality. The second couple, Chen Yi and Ai Di, is just as charismatic; their intense, messy energy makes it feel like two top-tier shows in one. It’s a story about loyalty and choosing the person you’d die for. It doesn't feel like a typical staged drama; it just feels intense and real, which is why I keep going back to it.
My rating would be even higher on this one if I liked the main couple as much as the side couple, who are my favorite I've ever encountered in a BL show. Best friends from childhood with years of mutual possessiveness and one-sided pining (until that also became mutual) and also they become crime husbands? Yes. Yes, please. And the size difference, Christ. Fantastic. But unfortunately even though the main couple was sweet and looked good together, I found most of their scenes kinda boring and since they were the main couple, it meant I was bored a bunch. If they made a super-cut version that was just the side couple, this would be a 10/10 but alas.
