A charming rom-com that benefits from sharp dialogues, in which the characters use words as instruments of attack, but that ultimately relies on personal contact regardless of political problems that are only a background that clouds the human relations. The series could be classified as a non-romantic comedy, because the relationship between the two protagonists suffers different ups and downs that push them further apart the closer they get. And it is supported by scathing references to relations between the English and the Irish, marked by stereotypes.
