People expecting a similar vibe to "My Name is Earl" or "Raising Hope" will be... I won't say "disappointed", but surprised. "Sprung" has the DNA of those shows in it's humor, but it feels much more subdued, and far more cinematic. There isn't whimsical incidental music, and the jokes aren't thrown at the viewer in a lightning fast manner. But that's not a bad thing, I really dig the vibe of this show so far. It does suck to sort of re-live the early stages of the pandemic through this show, but I understand that it's crucial to the storytelling.
Pretty funny first episode, think I'm gonna enjoy this.
Underrated, underappreciated and a must see. Loved everything about this show.
enjoyable. * not too heavy, serious to make u say " i cant deal with it right now". l
OMG. Every episode is hilarious. It's a sleeper hit, like a Clerks only jailbirds, a heist, with a bunch of crazy things going on in between. 10/10.
