2 episodes in and I don't hate it! Looking at the trailer it looked more than questionable and I just started watching because of Gina Rodriguez AND Hannah Simone but yeah.... those 2 episodes so far were not terrible. It's a really old-school format but the humor is ok and the characters are better than what the trailer might make them look like at first. I doubt that this will go past a single season but that might be fine actually. Edit: First season done and who would've thought this silly little show could be so good. :) So yeah, don't be turned off by the trailer or anything, if you're in the mood for a new short and entertaining, funny show, give a few episodes of this a go, you might quite enjoy it! I know I did! Edit2: The show apparently has been picked up for a 2nd season! Wonder how that will pan out but now that the writer strike is also over it might even make it for a comeback next spring? We'll see.
Neat concept but too many cliches to list. It’s like they used AI to write a sitcom script as it checks all the boxes. It’s not my cup of tea and I don’t plan to I watch the rest after a couple of episodes. it’s cute at times, but there are too many annoying supporting cast characters that bug me.
Well I made it to episode 12 and it’s still a 6/10 FAIR It hasn’t changed since it started, so that’s not a bad thing I guess!!!! Nell and Edward are the only two likeable characters, the rest are just horrible, shallow and straight out of the 2000 comedy stereotype handbook. If this comes back for a second season, here’s what needs to happen…… Nell and Edward become romantically involved, she leaves the paper and starts a online obituary column. Focus more on the person that has passed away and their story, also drop all the other characters and bring in apartment neighbours
All the characters feel the same, none of them have a distinct personality, just modern boring quirks. Everyone is accepting of everyone and everything, no judging, all rainbows and happiness. in other words, no real conflicts, no consequences. If you're a "Jane The Virgin" fan, you might be disappointed because unlike "Jane The Virgin", this show **ironically** is soulless.
It's a very sweet, light hearted show, I really enjoy it. There are some hilarious moments at the right times, but it's also thoughtful. It's not perfect but don't understand the negative comments. People are so jaded lately and too critical, it's overkill. I think that says more about them than the show itself. people project more and go out of their way bendimg over backwards to be negative even if there's nothing there rather than be objective and see it for what it's meant to be. it's a cute, fun escape. I love Gina Rodriguez, she's perfect for this role and most of the cast as well especially Sam Cricket and Edward. It keeps getting better the more I watch. it's just some innocent whimsical fun, get a grip people.
