I saw Zenia and thought it was going to be another anime with useless fan-service but it turns out she was just an idiot. The interaction between Max and the Demon Lord quickly took my attention and the three-eyed character concept was a plus to that. If you're looking for something unique this is a definite watch.
The thing confuses me about this series is that we're expected to believe that the technology and culture of this world advanced several centuries in just 10 years. The series takes place in a time much like our world with the same technology and modern culture (well modern Japan) yet the flashbacks which took place only 10 years ago show a medieval culture and technology back then.
