David Simon, the only guy that could have made me like this show. I'm not into jazz, I felt it was slow, especially at the start, but at the end of it I really cared about it and the characters. Only HBO could have created and given this show 4 seasons.
this show is great ! i watched the wire , and i'm watching this .. david simon is the man , i mean he really makes you feel the city , i hope he create a new show on HBO , new city , new show , cant wait !
I’m not big on doing reviews but had to offer my opinion. I’ve watched all of Simon’s works and to me this is the best since Homicide. I know all you Wire fans might disagree. I loved the Wire. Great show. But the characters in Treme catch you in the first episode and don’t let you go. I found myself emotionally invested in their stories. Right till the end. I know some have said the show is slow or there’s no plot. That’s ok , if you don’t get it there are plenty of other shows to fill that need. But Treme, like Homicide, is more like a play. It’s all about dialogue and the characters. I was certainly never bored, rather found myself eagerly going to the next episode. The cast is outstanding! I laughed with them and cried with them. All I can say is thank you to all the people who made Treme possible.
I loved The Wire, but this is so dull? Watched the first 2 episodes and man, that oh so pretendious Jazz or Dixie or whatever that is sucks. Why should I care for the characters? Maybe you gotta watch the entire season to understand the appeal but for now, I aint got time for that.
