Synopsis

The kind of show you'll enjoy after a while into the show. I wasn't expecting it to be this good given the protagonist being so dull but by the end this show was totally worth watching.

Another isekai but at least the main character isn't OP beyond all belief. The plot is actually decent enough and will keep you invested long enough to get entertainment value.

Pretty thoroughly mediocre. There's a few cute moments and one or two decent running gags (not the mushroom jokes), but suffers from inconsistent pacing, flattish characters, and a one-dimensional world. The vignettes of the early episodes transition into a multi-episode arc somewhere around episode 4, and I honestly thought those storylets were a better framing and a lot more fun. There's nothing special enough about the show to merit a recommendation, but sometimes you just need mindless feel-good entertainment.

Enjoyed this a lot more than I was expecting to. I had been putting it off for quite some time because it honestly didn't really seem that interesting. As always though, I found myself craving some dungeon exploration, and decided to give it a shot. Immediately, I was surprised by the quality of the artwork and animation, but it wasn't until episode 4 when the storytelling format changed, that I really started to enjoy it. Episodes 1 - 3 seemed like a jumbled mess. Once things come together though, the series settles into a much better pacing and by the end, the action sequences and payoffs are fantastic. Some of the characters were also quite memorable. The entire dynamic of the MC, Morlock and Raelza was portrayed wonderfully. Morlock though, was the standout for me. Some displays of power were so tremendous, and the way it's animated was the chef's kiss. Just incredible execution of big moments. I'm definitely in for more of this, so fingers crossed for season 2...
