An excellent adaptation of a beloved graphic novel. The book was so important because there are not that many books that provides representation for kids living with deafness. The graphic novel gave me the impression that the book was to be for lower-mid primary school readers. The TV adaptation confirmed that. It takes time to get use to the audio mix, especially the fading in/out and muffled voice. It helps to know that it was deliberately done that way to give viewers a sense of how a person with hearing aids experience the world.
