Run the Burbs" just doesn't work. The acting feels really forced, like everyone's trying way too hard to sell the jokes instead of just letting them land naturally. Every reaction feels exaggerated like they're acting for a live studio audience that isn't actually there. What's worse is that the show clearly wants to be funny and heartfelt, but the delivery ruins it. The performances come off more like a school play than a professional production, and it's hard to connect with any of the characters because none of them feel real. There might be a few decent ideas buried in there, but the overacting and awkward pacing make it tough to sit through. It's not the worst show ever made, but it's definitely one of the hardest to enjoy.
