It was awesome. Everyone who grew up with Asterix will love it. They brought in some new impulses while maintaining the classics from the old books.

Still maintains the classic Asterix & Obelix humor and style with a bit of a modern twist... What a really good watch this was!

This series was loaded with intelligent humour. For anyone who was a history buff the chuckles were there. For pun fans the snickers were there. For people who enjoy good fun, adventure and beautiful animation, this makes for a great evening of entertainment. I give this series an 8 (fun storytelling) out of 10.

I have been a fan of the Asterix books since I was introduced to them over 60 years ago by an older cousin. What made them for me was the quality of the humour. Of the film adaptations, I have always preferred even the poorest of the animations to any of the live action versions. This new one is packed with gags, both slapstick and verbal; the pun count is very high & the overall tone is just right. Some of the soundtrack choices border on the inspired. Yes, there are updates, but these don't detract from the viewing experience at all. Highly recommended. Best watched in the original French with subtitles.

We really enjoyed this series. They managed to both update/modernize the story while staying true to the vibe, style and humor of the original comics. Looking forward to seeing some other seasons of this.
