I expected much more from this show. It was mostly bland and dealt with loss in a very … odd … way. Things felt rather flat.
This is a strange show. It mainly seems to exist as a vehicle for Keeley Hawes to act slightly mental...
With 15 minutes of episode 6 to go, I realised this was going nowhere. I wasn't wrong.
Pretty good show overall... it's like an onion, the more it progresses more is revealed. The last episode makes you long for season 2. 8.5/10
This journey through grief is so meandering, so undetermined, so invasive it takes an anchoring performance by a actor that will curry your sympathies, stretch your compassion, and focus the struggle, all of which Keeley Hawes does with brilliance. The cast is top notch and the characters are a mosaic of personalities bring comedy to the mayhem and heart to the lostness. I found myself very invested in all of it and was delighted to hear that it has been renewed for a second season/series. I give this series an 8 (offbeat) out of 10.
