Bong Joon-ho, né le 14 septembre 1969 à Daegu, est un réalisateur et scénariste sud-coréen.
Pour son film Parasite, il remporte la Palme d'or au festival de Cannes en 2019, le prix du meilleur film en langue étrangère aux Golden Globes suivi de quatre Oscars (meilleur scénario original, meilleur film international, meilleur réalisateur, et meilleur film) en 2020. Il devient également le premier réalisateur à égaliser le record de Walt Disney, détenu en 1954, en remportant 4 Oscars la même soirée.
