Matthew Smith, connu sous le nom de Matt Smith, est un acteur britannique né le 28 octobre 1982 à Northampton.
Formé au National Youth Theatre de Londres et à l'université d'East Anglia, il commence sa carrière comme acteur de théâtre. Par la suite, il se fait connaître à la télévision en tenant des rôles principaux dans trois séries à succès : il incarne le onzième Docteur dans "Doctor Who" (2010-2014), interprète le prince consort Philip Mountbatten dans "The Crown" (2016-2017) et joue Daemon Targaryen dans "House of the Dragon" (depuis 2022).
