Révélé par la série Spaced (1999-2001), il devient une figure incontournable grâce à la « Cornetto Trilogy » de Simon Pegg et Edgar Wright : Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007) et The World’s End (2013). Son humour et sa présence chaleureuse marquent des films comme Paul (2011) et The Huntsman: Winter’s War (2016). Frost brille aussi dans des rôles dramatiques, comme dans The Nevers (2021). En 2025, il est attendu dans How to Train Your Dragon (live-action).
