This is a really good movie. 5.8 on imdb just doesn't do it justice.

This movie is amazing and very undeserving of the hate it gets. I just picked up the 3 disc Arrow blu ray and absolutely in love with the movie and the special features. it's got a great doc on there as well as a 3 hour version of the movie, which I recommend watching. It is truly a different age of moviemaking with Costner really on a trimaran on those insanely blue Hawaii waters and they really built that atoll that could fit a football stadium inside of it. Crazy!! This would be all on green screen and CGI bullshit. But not here. it's like a 3 hour stunt show. I love it. Watched it twice in two days.

Funny that critics can love Mad Max Fury Road when this has a similar story but with water. Plus the movie is a well made adventure with fine action sequences. Gene Siskel also called WaterWorld one of the worst of its year and Costner a bad actor. After praising him for other movies. The movie is a goofy but entertaining stunt show with plenty of heart.

I found this movie really interesting and enjoyable. The movie has such details that you don't see today and much more creativity than many movies. It also has that 90s feel to it. It really dares to be ambitious and amazingly it still manages to look pretty good, 20+ years after it was made. It feels so grand and well made. It is absolutely worth a watch!

This movie has really grown on me throughout the years. It's got a really cool, kinda plausible premise, along with a bunch of colorful characters and some really great action. The world is also really fleshed out and feels authentically lived in. It's some solid sci-fi.
