The director's "cinema direct" is reflected as if a television camera had entered Hitler's bunker. We see the characters devoid of that mythology of evil: absurd, histrionic, lunatic. Hitler is no longer the monster, but a caricature of pathos. "Now, we no longer need a dictator, just the German people!". It is a fun, chaotic and subversive proposal.
