I set myself to watch this, 5 minutes into it, Then I got to know that It's Thadam remake. 😏

The movie's name itself is spoiler for the story. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Not exactly what I predicted, but close enough. Should've chosen a different title.

Aditya Roy's formidable performance makes this an engrossing and earnest remake. Gumraah is an arresting thriller which is packed with layered writing and character development which successfully holds your attention if you haven't watched the original. Baring some unecessary dance numbers and comic gags, this is easily an engaging ride with dazzling performancess from Aditya Roy Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. Aditya is criminally underrated as an actor and here he proves it yet again. Mrunal is exceptional as the investigating cop and delivers a natural performance. Overall, Gumraah is solid thriller which is earnest in its storytelling, has great direction but watch this one only if you are a fan of any of these actors or have skipped the original.  Instagram : @streamgenx
