The adventures of Allan Quatermain continue in _Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold_, another cheesy Indiana Jones rip-off from Cannon Films. Upon learning that his brother, who went missing looking for the Lost City of Gold, is alive, Quatermain sets out to find him. Richard Chamberlain and Sharon Stone return, and are joined by James Earl Jones. But the performances are all pretty bad; although, with this script and its ridiculous dialog, that was unavoidable. The comedy is incredibly cartoonish, the sets and special effects look cheap, and the music tries desperately to liven up the film with bombastic scores. Worse than the first film, _Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold_ is absolutely awful.
Second (to third) rate Indiana Jones clone with bad acting and a ridiculous storyline.
She really throwing a fit about him wanting to rescue his brother?
Just like King Solomon's Mines, Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold is extremely dated, but again, there are so many fond memories of these two films on VHS, my friends and I, and a little 14-inch TV, that I still kind of like them. Nostalgia, I think they call it...
