I admit, that I am not really a fan of manga and of the culture around it. I must though admit, that this movie does somehow manage to ride the fine edge between real-action manga and Hollywood action movie. It feels like an action movie but is also clearly a manga with all its exaggerated visuals and action sequences. The fact that Julie Condra and Marc Dacascos are visual candy does help to keep all types of public in front of the screen. An excellent movie for its genre.

Very 90's action with a bit of Asian myth thrown in, along with love interests, violence and 90's cool At the end of the day, apart from the violence (most of it gun based), it felt like watching an old made for TV Movie. Probably only for those people who know some history of the Crying Freeman
