The plot is quite smooth, the visuals are high-quality, and the action scenes are engaging. It's not a continuation of the previous film: in the last one, the "assassination" symbolized capital's interference with creativity, whereas in this one the "assassination" is the characters' awakening and backlash. The Red-Haired Ghost's characterization is fractured—early on it's Lu Kongwen's dark side, later it becomes a character in its own right with independent consciousness.
The plot is average, the special effects are ok, a little forced, not recommended.
