There's a lot of dog barking in this movie, for some reason. Great acting and great scenery, other than that it's a bit boring. I like that it's a short movie.
Hot Milk ended up being a bit of a letdown, though that’s largely on me for going in with the wrong expectations. I was scrolling through AMC+ thinking I was getting another Shudder-style horror flick—and instead got a moody, understated A24-esque romantic drama. Once I adjusted to that realization, it was fine for what it was, but it never really clicked with me. The pacing is slow, the story meanders, and while the performances are solid, it doesn’t do much to stand out. It’s not a bad film, just one that feels adrift—pleasantly shot and quietly emotional, but lacking the spark to make it memorable. Rating: 1.5/5 – 60% – Not Recommended to Everyone
I wanted to like this movie more than I probably did. I thought that the main character was really interesting and the actress did a great job with the character. I just don't know that the theme and source material translates well to a movie. It just wasn't compelling enough. follow me at https://IHATEBadMovies.com or facebook IHATEBadMovies
