Avis de la communauté (1)
I see both sides of this: on one hand it is heartening to see queer joy, especially with so much racial diversity. On the other, there is a lack of anger that almost comes off as naivety with the AIDS crisis and the callous, malicious disregard the government will have for it. As well, the complete non acknowledgement of bi and trans people is pretty glaring, and too much valuable time is spent on a Christian hetero woman talking about how only God can judge, judgmentally. Still, it’s a valuable snapshot of rime worth it for what is there and for preserving the images and thoughts of some of who came before us, and the hope and community they found, even if the future was rougher than they dreamed.
