i'm only 20 years old and i just saw this for the first time. Some scenes had me dying from laughter and others had me depressed. Great movie

Great movie with incredibly funny humour, but sometimes it just stretches a bit. The joke was funny for 10-15 seconds maximum but they make it for 30s-1m and then it's just not that funny anymore. The 2h 5m could've worked in 1h45m as well. But still of course an amazing film for that time.

I've never seen this movie, but this scene right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeZ8sHsKkkQ is EPIC! It moves me EVERY TIME. It's something we should all think about!

One of those classics that I just had to see. Really interesting to watch from a film-historical point of view.

★★★★☆ (4/5) Bold and surprisingly daring for its time. The satire is sharp, but there’s real heart behind it too. Chaplin balances comedy and commentary really well, and that final speech is unforgettable. It’s not subtle, but it doesn’t need to be. Still powerful.
