Much like the first movie, this is mostly build-up to Hathaway's plan that will be fully executed in another movie, but this time, the Gundam fight at the end is even cooler. I'm missing a lot of context because I haven't watched all the required watching, but I can pick up on subtext pretty well in movies, which is good because these movies don't really like to state anything outright. It's refreshing that it didn't just dump a ton of exposition on the audience, but I would like to know a little more of what is going on. Also, be prepared to squint, because a few scenes play out in near-total darkness (maybe it was just the old projectors at my theater that made it worse, though).
