Needed more background but as usual an incredible performance by Jennifer Connelly. Creepy atmosphere, good watch.

> "I can't be her mother...I don't know how to be myself!" Let's start with the good: Jennifer Connelly always brings her A-game. Not many can bawl their eyes out half the movie and keep you interested. Now with the bad: The rest of the movie is bit of a slow paced, easy to guess bore.

I walked out of the theatre when this came out (which I have only done one other time). It was that bad.

I must be an outlier, because I enjoyed the movie. But I wasn't part of the target audience for this movie. I'm a dad with one kid who I love more than anything else, and "Dark Water" hits every note for a parent struggling with the day to day hassles of life. I got emotional during the ending scene in the elevator. John C. Reilly is phenomenal as a sleazy realtor/land lord. Tim Roth is as good, if not better, as a lawyer working out of his car and sleeping in movie theaters due to his own crisis. Oh, and I will watch anything with Jennifer Connelly.
