Charming, Surreal, Poignant Sita Ramam is a classic , fairy tale saga which even with a fair share of flaws mesmerizes you with its profound storytelling, tear-jerking emotions , surreal background score and exceptional lead performances. In an age where superhero films , and mass films are on a craze, Director Hanu Raghavapudi comes up with a classic, timeless piece of cinema with a well written plot, and beautiful cinematography. Being honest the first half , was average where the commercial elements of humor, and early romance setup is done but that second half just got my attention significantly. Brilliant plot shifts and well placed emotional moments makes it a worthy film. If we can ignore minor dramatic tropes , the film's heart is bigger and you will definitely realise it. Dulquer Salman is such a charmer. I am new to his filmography as I had only seen Films like Salute and Karwaan before and he is just so magnetic on screen. His innocence is refreshing and performance is earnest. Girls will find their new crush here for sure. Mrunal too exceptional, the film gave her a space to showcase her potential as an actor and she delivers a strong case for herself. Rashmika has done a decent job nothing exceptional. The other supporting actors have provided good support as well. Overall, Sita Ramam is one fine film, which rekindles the joy of watching a classic tale of love with refreshing emotions backed by a wonderful story. The film is getting the hype it actually deserves and I am so glad to join the herd promoting it. The pure emotions, the music and especially the world building in the 1960s is so brilliantly edited that it leaves a lasting impression on you for sure. Check my page www.instagram.com/stream.genx
There are very VERY few movies that have touched my heart and made me cry. Sita Ramam is one of them. This movie is just beautiful. Special mention of the colour palette of the movie as well - from the outfits to the props around, everything matched perfectly with each and every surrounding and looked sooo good!! A huge fan of the music as well. I just wish I would have been able to check this movie out in the theatres. Although, the love story in the movie reminded me of the love story of Sanjay Singhania and Kalpana (You know the movie !!), obviously with slight changes. Still, I loved it. Dalquer and Mrunal did a fantastic job performing their roles.
Some love stories work because of chemistry. This one works because of sincerity and purity. It takes its time, lets the romance breathe and earns its emotional moments instead of rushing towards them. Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur make every interaction feel effortless, while the mystery ties everything together nicely. Their chemistry is one of the best that I have seen. Very beautifully told.
Based on a romantic soldier who loves his country, this movie gives the touch of Ghajini + Veer Zara just loved it.
