Sweet and enjoyable, better and with more heart than your usual HS rom-com Just as refreshing: the fact that it's a gay love story is normalized, as it should be. Meaning that there's not some sort of condemnation or stigma from some other characters (which usually happens with movies on this topic), bigotry, having to hide etc And I know all those things are still unexplicably present in our world, but I also feel that while it's right and necessary to show what people are going through because of their orientation, the hate and discrimination, their suffering and pain - we're also at a point where it's important to show as well stories where the fact that it's a love story between two girls is not even a deal, not even news. Cause I think that showing positive feedback, that it's ok - may help younger people who are struggling, to feel that it's ok being the way they are and loving whoever they love, and consider it normal

When I saw this movie appear on Disney+ I thought, please be gay, please be gay, it looks gay, will it be gay. And it was :-) It's a fun and quirky movie, nothing too special but I loved the jokes and could relate to the characters, so that was great. The mother was a bit over the top but also an absolute girl boss. I've loved Rowan Blanchard and Auli'i Cravalho for a while so that was my immediate couple goals.

This was really bad and devoid of any sort of..depth or emotion? It felt like I was watching a movie version of somebody's rough outline. Also, this movie is TV-MA and somehow feels even cheesier than a DCOM.
