Great film, super script and good performance from (Joseph Gordon) such a good actor and still is today, also good work from Jeff Daniel's on playing a good blind man.
Once again Joseph Gordon Levitt stars in a great movie. He really knows how to pick them. Can't fault this movie, it keeps you interested all the way through. 9/10
This could have been so much more well explored. Liked the beggining but thats pretty much it. It just goes downhill.
The Lookout is what happens when a movie desperately wants to sit at the cool kids' table with Memento and The Machinist, but it lacks the basic cognitive horsepower to get there. It’s a psychological thriller that is neither psychological nor particularly thrilling. It’s an indie drama wearing a backward baseball cap and a fake mustache, trying to sneak into a neo-noir convention. Chris has to write down "turn off lights" on a notepad, yet he has the precise spatial awareness and tactical foresight to out-maneuver a gang of armed bank robbers? Please. His condition isn't a tragic psychological exploration; it’s a toggle switch. The script flips it to "ON" when he needs to look vulnerable, and "OFF" when it’s time for him to become John Wick in a janitor’s uniform.
A stroke and a bank robbery.
