What an underrated gem of a movie! I unexpectedly discovered a well-crafted, polished, serious thriller with a noir plot. There are many noteworthy sound effects, like the subtle buzzing of electricity and the sound of paper rustling. I have to say, I really admire the second male lead – he’s so foolish and naive, which makes me believe the movie must be based on a true story. The protagonist’s perspective is unique, and the historical backdrop contrasts strongly with the story’s content.

A really thrilling ride through a dark passage in Polish history. Script, acting, production all well above average. Ends with a bang.
