Like NWA on muzak: asepticizing rebellion for commercial profit. This biopic of the seminal French rap group Suprême NTM (Supreme FYM -- F**k Your Mother) should just be called Huit Mile because it's little more than a French version of the Eminem biopic. The real saving grace of the film are the live scenes which sound great and look infectious. However, like every film about musicians, we get the substance abuse, the disputes among the members, the issues with the parents… and end up realizing a documentary would've been much more interesting. It's a shame that a group which broke ground by voicing screams from the projects ended up as a centerpiece for a money grab in the palm of a shaky hand-cam.
