What a disaster of a movie! Kitano has really outdone himself here. Not only is it poorly acted and directed, but it also can’t even manage to keep the tone straight for more than two consecutive scenes. Yet the film’s biggest sin is its cringe-worthy sense of humor—to the point that we are supposed to find it funny that samurais are gay and like to be massaged by black guys?
