This historical disaster has been described perfectly in this Dutch spoken film. The play is realistic and the lack of excitement may explain the low score. But it's ethically impossible to make a true story like this one into a action movie. http://trakt.tv/movie/alive-1993 is also based on a true story with much, much, much less props and scores higer. So I think the score is lower that is deserves. If one would compare the camera work it is obvious that Nova Zembla deserves more. I must say that there is a noise in the movie wicht sounds like it souldn't have been there. (film crew / mechanical), but I doubt that that explains the score. Because there is no comment on it. This film should be valued for historical documentation much like the mini TV series "In naam der Koningin" Both films have a high realism factor. I would describe the film used as harsh and environment sound as important. Besides that I didn't like the film that much, but that doesn't mean it's a bad production.
