[Sheffield/Doc] From an investigation into the family past, possibly related to the Russian secret services, the film finds a more interesting look that goes through facing the problems of freedom in contemporary Russian society from the investigation on the lack of freedom in the Russia of the past. It is a memory journey, a discovery of family secrets that nevertheless manages to reveal truths of the present.
