Rachel Boston stars in the holiday romance _A Christmas Carousel_. When Lila accompanies her father to Ancadia to assist him in repairing the royal family’s carousel, she bonds with the prince over their love of art. Boston gives a strong performance and has good chemistry with co-star Neal Bledsoe. And the script does a nice job at using the genre tropes without seeming cheesy or contrived. Still, the plot’s predictable and a couple of the characters are little more than stereotypes. Yet while it has some weaknesses, overall _A Christmas Carousel_ is an entertaining Hallmark film.
