Cool concept, mediocre to bad execution. Sam Worthington is solid and MGK is good at times, but definitely has a few rough scenes. The rest of the cast can’t act for shit. The plot is also extremely predictable and never feels grand or exciting. The score is terrible. I did think the cinematography and sets look pretty good. At the end of the day pretty forgettable.

The film is suitably bleak considering the plot and wintry setting but there are too many holes in the narrative for this to truly be a good Western.
