Synopsis
Neeyln a toujours été le fidèle exécuteur du chef du crime Harris à Londres, s'occupant des problèmes et des personnes qui perturbent ses activités illicites. Quand Harris conclut un accord avec un vieil ami - le pétrolier américain Preston - ils se retrouvent dans les collines sauvages de la Virginie occidentale. Les contrats sont signés et le whisky coule à flots, mais du jour au lendemain, la petite amie de Neelyn disparaît, vue pour la dernière fois avec le fils capricieux de Preston, Junior. Des frontières sont tracées entre la famille et les amis, mais rien n'empêchera Neelyn d'obtenir des réponses avec les représailles.

a nice entertaining movie. Decent acting nice cinematography. In my opinion worth the watch. 8 out of 10

_The Big Ugly_ doesn't make any sense with its useless plot lines and characters. A colossal waste of time. This hillbilly noir/British gangster flick is just a very, very, very basic revenge action movie, oh and and they mention oil a lot but you never get to see any oil. The action is really quite minimal, the plot is unclear, the characters - macho men, who repeat themselves over and over again.

Could have been much better. It tries to be clever with the cowboy/British mix but it just misses the mark. Basic, cliched story that didn’t really flow well. That said, I think Scott Wiper has a good future ahead and can only get better from here.
