Like most critics, I gave this docu-womentary a 'like' even before I saw it because it's about France's best women's soccer team (Olympique de Lyon) and I 100% back women. And I did like the movie. I liked it despite the fact this puff piece is just a messy pile of themes (women's soccer history, press interviews, school apparences, young players' school, women's equality, training...) based on a team's quest to win grand slam of titles. This thread might've unified the sloppily edited collage, except the filmmaker's didn't have the rights to the games so we get to watch the locker room scenes before and after, but precious little sport. Look, _Les Joueuses_ is probably a really good film to show a young girl interested in sports as a way to motivate her and show here representation, but for the rest of us, were going to have to like it just because...
