Marla Sokoloff and Patrick J. Adams star in holiday rom-com _Christmas in Boston_. When Gina makes plans to meet her long time pen pal for the first time, she has her best friend go in her place; but what she doesn’t know is that he’s done the same thing. Sokoloff and Adams both give strong performances and have good chemistry together. And the comedy is well-done; delivers a lot of laughs. However, some the supporting cast is weak and the low-budget shows through in a couple of the sets and the generic stock music. Yet despite its problems, _Christmas in Boston_ is a charming and whimsical film.
