This is one of the worst '50s Sci-Fi flicks I've ever seen. The entire crew are morons and there is no way they could have flown a paper airplane in Study Hall much less a spaceship to Mars. The Captain spends the vast majority of his time hitting on the female astronaut with his jumpsuit unzipped to his beltline. The big doof that I believe is the navigator or communications officer wants to screw his new lazer gun. The only remotely appealing cast member is Les Tremayne who plays Prof. Gettell, but he ends up dying of a heart attack. All of the special effects are poorly done, the matte paintings are bush-league, and the sets are cheap. The bat-spider thing looks cool, but it doesn't do anything so you'd be better off staring at the movie poster than wasting time watching this.
