Quirky, weird, absolutely no redeeming value whatsoever! I loved every minute.
Ok, so I loved the creature design and the cheesy aliens. The gore was fun and the story was a good idea. But it was really hard to get into it when none of the human characters are likeable. Mimi is absolutely insufferable and I wished for her death throughout the whole movie. I had a small hope that at the end, he would say sike and implode her. The character was just not fun to watch which kinda killed the whole vibe for me. It had massive potential but the execution was severely lacking in the non-monster department.
What a blast! It's unique, over the top, quirky, campy, goofy, all I want in a horror movie! The idea's fun. I liked that it's intended to look like B movies, that cheesy goodness that I love and I crave!
What the fuckety fuck is this shit? Is this what passes for a movie these days?
In some ways, its a throwback to movies of the 80s with its prosthetic effects and creature designs. However, it is its own thing too with a very funny script and great deadpan acting from the kids. A cult classic in the making.
