Pointless movie without good cinematography or any special atmosphere. Some dialogues are completely off and i was waiting something totally different.I think it's almost a waste of time if it wasn't for shailene whose perfomance was wow i could rate it lower.
Nothing special except the land owning on Hawaii plot... ;>
Kissing the other wife like that was crazy. I thought this was gonna be a lot sadder but if anything I felt sorry for George Clooney’s character. If any woman cheats on you with Matthew Lillard and you look like George Clooney I'm pulling the plug ASAP no hesitation.
Such a refreshing way to handle such grim subject matters.
Quite a poignant and nuanced story about family, place, and belonging. The director's restraint was really a big plus in my view, simply keeping the focus on the characters as they made sense of hard circumstances, all the while avoiding falling into cliches or cheap dramatisations. Like other Payne films the experience is greater than the sum of it's parts, and leaves you feeling enriched. Very well worth your time.
