"How do you like that - Cuddles knew all the time!" Even in his debut film Alfred Hitchcock has a man drowning a woman, a man chasing a woman with a sword and a man getting killed with a gunshot. It wouldn't be a Hitchcock movie otherwise! Anyway, the plot is sometimes tough to follow and the movie feels a bit dry. We do get a cute dog but not a cameo by Hitchcock himself. We do get murder, love, some classic Hitchcock camera work, a cute dog and somewhat of a decent happy ending? I hope that somewhere down the line I will be able to get my hands on the restored 90 minute version because that might improve the plot but I'm still happy this one was available on YouTube.
