Same as with Parasite: I think you got to be Korean to like this crap. This movie is slow, winding, and sadly: boring. It does not entertain. The pacing is way off. Only 1 out of 10 jokes lands. The characters are weird and unbelievable, with some soap opera scenes sprinkled in that almost remind of those shitty Chinese romcoms before switching back to wannabe dramedy. This is a bad, budget version of A Fish Named Wanda. Watch the original, not this artsy crap.
what about pig bbq this weekend? NOOO!!!
For me, this is the most unconventional story of the year, and its execution in this film was well done. I liked the lead actor’s performance; it really pulled me into the film’s atmosphere. The movie has some slow moments in certain events, and there are parts that were oddly rushed or condensed. A strong contender for Best International Feature Film at the Oscars.
